Our first son Marcus Tan Zhao Yong joined the family on 21st March 2007. A healthy and cute baby boy wieghed 3.8kg and measured 50.5long (or tall?). The nurse kept telling us he was born with a very good size. I (chun Lim )still remember me overwhelmed with the mixed feeling waiting for marcus's arrival on that very special day. I was excited waited at the delivery room's waiting area. The nurse told me not to worry as the ceasasrean process is simple and wont take too long. " probably 20-30 mins " she said. So i waited. 45 mins passed and the delivery door still tightly shut. I was actually a little worried. Many thoughts rushed through my head. " Oh god, please blessed both the mother and son with safety" i prayed. The waiting room was slowly filled up as other fathers and grand parents started coming in. The room was becoming a little crowded so i paced out to the corridor. Time ticking by and the delivery room was finally swung open after 1 and half hours ( or longer )and there came our son strolling out the delivery room by the nurse. The nurse called Sook Fun's name and i rushed over. We checked the tagging on both the baby's legs for verification. And yes, the cute litle baby tightly clad in a towel, my son. " Do you want to carry him? " asked the nurse. " Sure but later " i answered as i wasn't sure if i could handle the little one. He looked too delicate to me.
Today marcus is almost 3 months old and weighs about 7kg and measured 62cm long.
